2. Purpose of Collection

TapToView collects your personal information for the following specific, explicitly defined, and lawful purposes:

• To enable estate agents to create and manage property listings on the Platform
• To capture buyer enquiries and deliver them to the relevant agent
• To send buyers a confirmation of their property enquiry
• To provide agents with analytics about their property listings
• To maintain the security and integrity of the Platform
• To comply with applicable South African legal obligations

4. Whether Supply is Voluntary or Mandatory

For estate agents: Providing your name, email address, and password is mandatory to create an account. Agency name and contact details are required to complete your profile and use the Platform's lead capture features.

For buyers: Providing your name, email address, and mobile number is required to submit a property enquiry. You may not submit the form without providing POPIA consent. You are not obligated to submit an enquiry — this is entirely voluntary.

5. Consequences of Not Providing Information

For agents: Failure to provide mandatory information will prevent account creation or profile completion, and you will be unable to use the Platform.

For buyers: Failure to provide the required information means your property enquiry cannot be submitted or delivered to the agent.

6. Recipients or Categories of Recipients

Your personal information may be shared with the following parties:

• The relevant estate agent — Buyer lead data is shared with the agent who owns the property listing, for the purpose of the property enquiry.
• Transactional email service providers — For delivery of confirmation and notification emails only.
• Cloud hosting and infrastructure providers — For secure storage and delivery of the Platform.
• The Information Regulator or other legal authorities — Where required by law.

We do not sell, rent, or trade personal information to any third party for marketing purposes.

7. Cross-Border Transfers

Your personal information may be processed on servers located outside the Republic of South Africa (for example, cloud infrastructure in the United States or European Union). Where such transfers occur, we ensure that adequate safeguards are in place as required by Section 72 of POPIA, including contractual protections with the relevant service providers.

8. Your Rights as a Data Subject

Under POPIA, you have the right to:

• Be notified that your personal information is being collected (this notice fulfils that obligation)
• Access the personal information we hold about you (Section 23)
• Request correction or deletion of your personal information (Section 24)
• Object to the processing of your personal information (Section 11(3))
• Submit a complaint to the Information Regulator (Section 74)
• Institute civil proceedings for damages (Section 99)
